Queens School 2020/21

Our low bus fares are a great way of avoiding having to drive through the traffic jams near the School! Help avoid creating traffic gridlock and improve the air quality around the School by using our buses to and from School!

IMPORTANT: Please note that to purchase child price single (or where available a child price return ticket) on all routes to Queens School a currently valid Herts Savercard (obtainable from Hertfordhsire County Council for £20) must be presented. Otherwise adult fares are charged which are approximately double the child fare. The card enables 11-18 year olds to have child price travel on most buses in Hertfordshire. For older children wishing to purchase a child price weekly ticket from the driver (or where available a four weekly ticket) a Savercard proves proof of age.

If you live outside of Hertfordshire and therefore cannot obtain a Savercard your son or daughter would normally be changed adult single or return fares. However, Sullivan Buses offer a Child FareSaver Card (cost £20) which allows child price single and return fares to be obtained on Sullivan Buses for the school year. It is obtainable from this website.

IMPORTANT. There are minor changes to the morning timetables on the 823 and 833 and to the evening times of route 306. Fares for the Borehamawood area have been restructred to provide a greater range of season tickets.

INTRODUCING NEW BUS ROUTE 306A

From September we are making further improvements to our bus services to Queens School. Route 823 will be withdrawn and replaced by new route 306A, which will run on the same routeing as route 306 through North Borehamwood, Elstree and Little Bushey to Queens School. There will be an afternoon journey which on Mondays to Thursdays will leave at 1508 from within the school grounds and on Fridays will leave at 1512 from the bus stop outside the school. The afternoon 306A journey will replace the current route 306 service from the school.

There will no longer be a direct service from South Borehamwood, which previously ran as route 823 mornings only and was poorly used. Route 358 provides a connection from South Borehamwood with route 306A at Shenley Road, Santander, with passengers needing to transfer across the road to the opposite stop to catch route 306A. Season tickets for route 306A will be valid on route 358 between South Borehamwood and Shenley Road, Santander.
