NICHOLAS BREAKSPEAR SCHOOL 2020/21
BUS ROUTE 355 EXTENDED TO ENFIELD
From September we are making further improvements to our bus services to Nicholas Breakspear School. Route 355 will be extended to Carterhatch Leisure Centre, Enfield via Gordon Hill Station, Lancaster Road and Forty Hall. This will provide a direct bus service to and from the school from the North Enfield area, with connections available from South Enfield using TfL route W8 from the Bush Hill Park area to the Hop Poles and from Winchmore Hill using TfL route W9 to the Hardy Way bus stop (near Chase Farm Hospital),
The route will no longer serve Potters Bar Station, which is served by route 303, but will now serve the Laurel Gardens, Cranbourne Road, Furzefield Centre and Wroxham Gardens bus stops on Mutton Lane during mornings as well as afternoons, providing a quicker journey from these stops to the school in the mornings. Route 303 will no longer serve these stops.
BUS ROUTE 331 REROUTED VIA BIRCHWOOD & HATFIED BUSINESS PARK
From September, route 331 will be diverted at Mill Green via route 330 to the school, which will be withdrawn. This is to ensure that the service from Welwyn Garden City, Birchwood, Hatfield Town Centre and Hatfield Business Park is viable. Should passenger numbers increase, we will look to duplicate the service from the Hatfield area.
From September 2020, we will be operating four bus routes to the School covering several different areas. For convenience all the routes serve every bus stop along the line of route. All of them offer value fares - amongst the lowest in Hertfordshire for bus services designed primarily for Schools. We work closely with the school to ensure the services meet the continuing and growing needs of the school, parents and pupils.
All fares have been frozen from September 2020. Longer term season tickets represent the best value offering savings of up to £345 against the cost of buying daily tickets.
A currently valid Herts Savercard (price £20) is required to purchase a child price single ticket from the driver. The Savercard also provides proof of entitlement to child price weekly tickets for older children not in school uniform. Failure to show a valid Savercard will mean adult fares are charged.
For pupils living outside of Hertfordshire and therefore unable to purchase a Savercard, we are pleased to offer a Child FareSaver Card which enables child price single tickets to be purchased. The cost is £20 and is obtainable from this site. It is only valid on Sullivan Buses.
Herts Savercards and Sullivan Buses FareSaver Cards are not required for season tickets.
